I'm Just Sayin'...

If you are in the market for lighting, why not consider vintage. Why buy a reproduction when you can get the real thing, usually for the same investment, sometimes even less. Your electrician can install an antique chandelier as easily as a new one. A few of our many fabulous lighting options are below.

Furniture Mart

Clearly I am biased to antiques. But I have to tell you, if you are in the market for a piece of furniture, I highly suggest checking out an antique shop as a first option. You are guaranteed excellent quality, classic and unique design and a variety of shapes and sizes to suit your needs. They don't say "they don't make them like they used too" for nothing!

Shabby chic anyone? This would be a great side table, nightstand or desk. It is all in the eye of the beholder. We recently had a savvy customer who bought an awesome old trunk to use as a stool for her kids computer desk. She was going to store all their computer stuff in the trunk. Clever!

Linen Closet

Gorgeous soft chenille bedspreads, insanely cool colorful quilts and brightly colored retro aprons are just a few of the linens found at Wexford Antiques. Some are in mint condition and perfect for daily use. Others may be best suited for your next sewing project. Whichever it is they are statement ready!

This chenille pillow is a perfect example of salvaging the best of an old bedspread. In addition you can feel good about yourself for going green!

If you have a cook in your family I can assure you that she (maybe he) would love one of these aprons! Pair it with a great cookbook and you have the perfect and most thoughtful gift.

Unique Antiques

There are so many things to love about antiques. One in particular is knowing you are finding something that is very unique and not mass produced. They are pieces of interest that add character to collections and say something about the collector. I love the whimsical finds that our shop has to offer. I am constantly coming across something new and special!

I love this Indian bust. Imagine this piece in your "man cave" or maybe placed somewhere unexpected like a front entryway on a Victorian marble top table. The contrast would make a great design statement!

This metal train is a work of art and is much larger than it appears here. I would love to see this placed a top a hutch in a dining room to add a masculine touch.

Loving her! Even though I am a sucker for anything angel, this chick is too cool and non angel collectors can appreciate her shear style. She has a counterpart that I am eyeing up for over my mantel.

These guys are just calling out to be purchased for your kitchen cabinet with the glass doors!

Marianne Marino's passion is painting people. Her paintings portray glimpses of the human experience in luscious, glorious watercolor. Inspired by one of her vintage photos, her imagination catches fire--weaving a story in her mind about the subject while she paints. "In the end, my representational painting, combined with abstracted design elements, tells a story that evokes an emotional response from the viewer--and that's exciting!" One of the great things about Wexford Antiques is that we have such a wide variety of styles. Take the whole "Paris Apartment" look. Who would expect to find treasures that look like they were purchased in the streets of Paris here in Pittsburgh. Just a few of the many fabulously French treasures you will find are below!
